Overview

The Post Graduate Diploma in School Administration is a diploma program which focuses on skills in human relationship, problem solving, community relationship and community cooperation. Other topics covered include information technology and its application in educational administration, evaluation methodology and research. The program also focuses on the Legal Aspects of Educational Administration and Guidance and Counselling. At the end of the program the candidates are supposed to complete a “Project”. Project-based learning is a dynamic approach to teaching in which candidates explore real-world problems and challenges. With this type of active and engaged learning, candidates shall be inspired to obtain a deeper knowledge of the courses they are studying.

The programme has been devised considering the following objectives:

To improve the individual performance as educational managers and leaders
To enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of educational organizations
To upgrade skills in such areas as interpersonal relationship, leadership and team building, strategic planning and decision-making, necessary for effective management.
To provide an understanding of basic management concepts and their applications in an educational environment.
