Jayangika Aashinsani Hettiarachchi's Story

Teaching young children is about more than lessons and textbooks—it is about nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning. My journey at Apax Campus, where I followed the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Primary Education, helped me understand the true impact a dedicated primary educator can have on a child’s future.

The program placed strong emphasis on early childhood development, creative teaching methods, and learner-centered classroom practices. Through practical activities, school-based experiences, and interactive coursework, I learned how to plan engaging lessons, manage classrooms positively, and support the academic and emotional needs of young learners.

The academic team at Apax Campus were highly supportive throughout my studies. Their guidance, encouragement, and real-world teaching insights helped me grow with confidence and clarity. Regular workshops, teaching demonstrations, and reflective learning sessions played an important role in shaping my teaching style.

Beyond academic knowledge, Apax Campus helped me develop essential personal and professional skills such as communication, creativity, patience, and adaptability. The welcoming learning environment and strong sense of community made my journey enjoyable and motivating.

Thanks to Apax Campus, I have grown into a confident, caring, and passionate primary educator. Today, I am fully prepared to inspire young minds, create meaningful learning experiences, and make a positive difference in the lives of children.
